What We're Learning This Week

The students did a wonderful job overall last week multiplicative comparisons, character analysis using a class read-aloud, and our explorer passages. This week, we'll be working on the following:

* Math - Find all the factor pairs for a number and decide if that number is prime or composite.

* Discussing how factors and multiples are related.

* ELA - How to compose complex sentences using coordinating conjunctions.

*Social Studies - Vasco Nunez de Balboa and Jacques Cartier as explorers of the New World.

* Writing - Stating a Claim, providing evidence, and giving reasoning for topics in science.
